The Human Sized Synthesizer was developed by Daito Manabe and Rhizomatiks in collaboration with Red Bull Music Academy and KORG. It is a social experiment, embodying the Academy ethos of encouraging creative collaboration.

The Synthesizer is a large format workstation that allows for interaction: There is a step sequencer drum machine with four sound sets, and a keyboard with an arpeggiator and other functions, as well as an X-Y effects unit. The large format synthesizer controls are based on KORG’s MS10/20 classic synthesizers, with MPC-style touch-sensitive trigger pads.
