YÔKAÏ is a great and new Brussels based music collective who recently released their debut EP, recorded last year. Here's four solid psychedelic ethio-afro jazz songs, delivering a very powerful collective sound.

The band's members are Fred Becker (on alto, tenor & barytone saxes, percussion), Jordi Grognard (on clarinet, bass clarinet, tenor sax, flute), Axel Gilain (on doublebass, electric bass, moog synth), Eric Bribosia (on fender rhodes, Roland SH synth), Leo Duplex on stnths and effects, Clement Nourry on electric guitar, Yannick Dupont on drums and percussion and Louis Evrard on drums and electronics.

"Yokai is a Japanese word. It represents invisible entities that evolve everywhere around us in life and in our dreams. The yokai is the playground for the unspeakable powers moving our souls and their manifestation in this world. We see them as disturbing, funny little geniuses, the djinns in arabic. Playing with yokai is like calling them in the middle of the circle", say the members on the band in an interview for The Word Magazine.
