American record label RVNG will reissue in september a compilation with a focus on K. Leimer's auteurist studio project called Savant. This album titled Artificial Dance follows the collection of archival recordings, 'A Period of Review (Original Recordings: 1975-1983)', released in 2014 on RVNG.

The new album documents Leimer's complete collaborative venture into the unpredictable realities of music, compiling the album The Neo Realist (released in 1983), Savant's debut EP ''Stationary Dance / Sensible Music'' from '81 and a few unreleased tracks.

Since the mid 1970s, electronic composer K. Leimer has produced a rich and vast body of work and has released an impressive number of quality avantgarde and experimental music. It has often, if somewhat hastily, been referred to as ambient - that is, when it has been referred to at all. He founded Palace of Lights Records in 1980, releasing albums by Anode, Steve Peters, Marc Barreca, Michael William Gilbert, Savant, Roy Finch, Gregory Taylor and the Singapore-based Ang Mo Faux. Leimer has continued to compose, record and release music since the label began, including indie cassettes.

Artificial Dance by Savant will be officially released on September 4, 2015, on RVNG Intl, as double LP, CD and digital.
