From March 11 - 26, 2017 in Paris, Montreuil, Vanves, Gentilly and elsewhere, Sonic Protest is going all out: there's so much out there that we're certain to have something for everyone!

This 13th edition, conceived as a marathon of the incredible, is the opportunity to catch, in flesh and blood on stage cult artists such as This Is Not This Heat, The Nihilist Spasm Band, André Robillard, Phew, Sven-Åke Johansson, Ghédalia Tazartès, Anne Gillis or Nurse With Wound.

Sonic Protest XXL is also bringing you a dozen and a half of little-known artists from all corners of the world, rarely or even never seen here yet. From Indonesians Zoo to Norwegian group Golden Oriole, passing through Italians Aspec(t) and Danish Damien Dubrovnik, plus local stars Low Jack, Alexandre Bellenger, Scenes from Salad, Watt or Heimat.

They´ ll also be showcasing Souffler, the first solo exhibition of the Scotish mecano-poet Sarah Kenchington, as well as films on Tony Conrad and The Nihilist Spasm Band, the France premiere of the Graham Lambkin and Mark Harwood collaboration, as well as special show for the young ones by Jean-Louis Costes, a first Sunday with Rashad Becker and the anniversary of the Art Kill Art label.

In short, Sonic Protest is the festival for those who want to lend an ear, those who would rather listen than dance - curious adventurers sensitive to the notions of freedom and sonic transgression.
