Art and music shape our environment, they define the present time and influence the next generation. HORST is a fusion of that shared vision, it cultivates our foundation, it’s where our heart lies. HORST champions a vanguard of talented individuals and collectives from Belgium and beyond.

HORST is a festival, an exhibition and a series of inspiring talks. What can be more bucolic than an early September inter-disciplinary festival in the courtyard of a Belgian castle?

The fourth edition of HORST Arts&Music festival, taking place in a 15th century moated castle in the green Hageland hills, brings together site specific art and cutting-edge electronic music of the sunny variety. There’s boogie and soul by rising Canadian star Jayda G, solar house by Shanti Celeste, on-point disco from Motor City Drum Ensemble, as well as adventurously eclectic sets by Call Super, Young Marco and Kornel Kovacs. But leave it to lesser-known names such as Amsterdam’s Tako or Brussels’ excellent DJ soFa to bring the heat with delightful Balearic obscurities.

We also host a yearly exhibition of in-situ visual art in the public space surrounding the Horst castle, curated by Gijs Van Vaerenbergh. Named SPACES & PLACES, this edition focuses on creating various shared spaces on the castle grounds. Expect a series of temporary and permanent interventions that highlight existing elements and reframe the current castle's surroundings
