Currently living and working in Bucharest, Diana Miron (°1989) is a young Romanian artist with a long classical/contemporary music background.

Her interest for the visual arts and media variety appears naturally as an extension from reverberations of the social and political context she grew up in, contouring the desire of liberation from stylistic barriers, translated through sound exploration, (solo/collective) improvisation and performance.

As a starting point, her works directly respond and connect to the surrounding environment and turn the clarity of the present moment to good account in relation to objects/entities. Inspired by obviousness of concern, mental inertia, clichés, virtuality and rejecting an objective truth and mass cultural narratives, she tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way, involving the viewer in a way that is sometimes physical and believes in the cohesion of unlimited interpretation of function following form.

Diana tours frequently alongside Iancu Dumitrescu's widely acclaimed Hyperion Ensemble and is also a part of PFA Orchestra.
