Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin returned in the summer of 2013 with the seventh album from Boards Of Canada and the forth one released on the emperor of all the good ambient/experimental electronic, the almighty Warp Records. But where have you been in the past seven years, guys? Working, most likely.

Influenced by Fabio Frizzi, John Harrison and Mark Isham, as they point out in an interview for The Guardian, the Sandison brothers came back from their lush studio in Scotland, located on a rural farm, surrounded by deer and rabbits, with this huge 17 songs package. Well, this might be a proper gift when you want to break up with your girl, get your driver’s license back, avoid waiting at the cues in supermarket, get milk on debt, get lost in the wildness of nature, sell a second hand TV, get better grades in school, get that girl that you always wanted but could never actually have her.

''Tomorrow’s Harvest'' encompasses many symbols from the past 30 years. The musicians deliberately strived to polish a unique sound, with a ‘’VHS video nasty element’’ kept inside, filtered through old media, in order to send the listener back in the ‘80s.

Each song has its own little universe, where melodies flow in a perfect harmony, nourishing the ears with various emotional states, from lustful strings to hypnotic and meditative sounds, from mysterious John Carpenter-ish influenced feel, to peaceful and reconciled beats. This album is like a human being. It is made up from so many pieces, which come altogether and fit impressively, from the first till the last song. Each breathes the same air as the others and connects with the others using special and secret channels. Since each perception is so unique and different, you can only talk personally about Boards of Canada music. No matter what your mood is, ambient music is what you need. For the loved and for the lovers. Great comeback from this (too) serious electronic duo from Edinburgh!

Some personal picks would be ''Cold Earth'', ''Jaqcuard Causeway'' and the last one on the album, ''Semena Mertvykh''.
