It is still an amazing feeling to discover by accident an album that has such an incredible power to get through to you. This is what happened with this album, that I got by chance the other day, while I was looking for ”therapeutic” music.

Alfons Yogeshwara (which means ”yoga in the sky”) is a German multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, keyboards, sitar and percussion. He draws his inspiration from meditation and his trips to the Orient. Suresh Wadkar is one of the top stars in India and his music is very popular there.

This album called ”Ayurveda - Wisdom of Life” (Ayurveda is a system of traditional medicine native to the Indian continent and a very old form of alternative medicine) makes the listener fall into a deep sleep, to support and promote the spiritual development. This is an excellent way to achieve inner peace and harmony with brilliant musicians from East and West. The music harmonizes the mind and brings you to inner balance, revealing a healing force from the inside. Music can do so much good in the world. Some of it was created just for this, to bring joy and happiness into people’s souls.

Some songs from this album sound a little bit like elevator music, but others are so powerful that can make me cry while listening to it. Take for example ”Healing Om”, ”Hare Om” or ”Smiling Flute” (which is my favorite song from the album); these tracks are so good, I just can’t resist them! Of course, other ones are a little bit too cheesy for my taste, or as someone would say, it’s not really my cup of tea, but a full play of the album is required. Carefully played, it can bring so much good energy, optimistic and positive vibes, and can heal the soul of human imperfections.
