Visual artist Zoe Kirk-Gushowaty, a Vancouver native and not-so-distant neighbor to Syrinx’s founding member John Mills-Cockell, directs an intimate portrait of the pioneering electronic / avant-garde Canadian trio, whose complete works were collected on last year’s Tumblers From the Vault.

The documentary comes just ahead of Syrinx’s first live performance in over 45 years at Moogfest in Durham, North Carolina on Saturday, May 20.

The musicians behind Syrinx were composer and keyboardist John Mills-Cockell, saxophonist Doug Pringle, and percussionist Alan Wells. All three were young veterans of the Toronto creative scene by the beginning of 1970.
