Detroit's dub techno and ambient expert Deepchord aka Rod Modell is releasing a new album, ‘Auratones', on Soma Records that is scheduled to release on October 20th on double LP, CD and digital formats.

Known for a great number of releases on Soma Records and his side project Echospace (in collaboration with Steven Hitchell) with epic albums on Andy Stott’s Modern Love, the veteran producer delivers his fifth full-length on Slam’s imprint which follows his last output as Deepchord, the double CD ‘Ultraviolet Music’ in 2015, and his recent album's live recording as Echospace 'Live in Detroit [Ghost In the Sound]’ this year.

Inspired by Detroit & Berlin’s dance genres, but tempered by more ambience / atmosphere than one would expect from those genres. Music without harshness or rough edges. Fuzzy, out-of-focus, soft-sounds that slip in and out of the listener’s consciousness. Uniquely melds current dance rhythms with lushness and spirituality.

5. Varanasi
6. Portofino
