During the day, the festival will map the existing infrastructure and important institutions of the independent art scene and will also create the context for emerging artists to experiment and show their work to the public, in various unconventional locations and spaces. During the night, 5 spaces dedicated to electronic music will define the festival's music program.
Romexpo, the biggest venue, will host two areas designated to all night long events, including big shots like Loco Dice, Moodyman, Cassy, Cobblestone Jazz live and more. Kristal, the oldest electronic music club in Bucharest, will keep up with it's usual direction, hosting names like Ben Klock, Gaizer live, Hartthrob live and others. GuestHouse, the minimal techno church, will go on with what it does best, showcasing the Romanian local heroes Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, Barac, Priku, Herodot, among usual guests from other parts of the world like Ion Ludwig, Dasha Redkina, Francesco del Guarda and others, but with a surprisingly twist featuring Phuong Dan and Orgue Eletronique live.
Meanwhile, our partner-in-crime newly opened venue KRAN will host 4 long and intense nights of pure underground electronics featuring both local emerging artists, as well as first-time-in-Bucharest international guests. Check out these 8 artists that you are not allowed to miss:
Acronym first surfaced in late 2012 on his own imprint, Dimensional Exploration, putting out mind-bending music and working in the sphere of similar peers like Abdulla Rashim. A few months later he published a 12″ on Rashim’s newly found label and platform, Northern Electronics.
Acronym has now shown himself to be a prolific producer of deep, percussive techno by continuously releasing EP's and remixes.
