Soichi Terada's distinctive style is ready to reach a wide range of ears again.

For Rush Hour, Hunee carefully compiled a handful of dynamic house tracks by Japanese producer Soichi Terada, originally released in the early nineties, in an effort to bring them back to the DJs and enthusiastic listeners. The compilation is named after Terada's label, ''Far East Recording'', which he founded together with Shinichiro Yokota back in 1989, a time when he felt that his sound didn't fit with any other existing label.

About 10 years later, his creativity as a musician who majored in computer science and electric organ, found its place with video games. Terada composed the soundtrack for not less than 11 games, dedicating himself especially to the Ape Escape series which, interestingly enough, incorporated a variety of pop culture references. Even without taking in consideration his work as a score composer, his style can be best characterized as playful. Bouncy beats and swirly notes are neatly concurring under the strong influence of Western deep house. Isn't that just such a good recipe to satisfy some crave for dancing?

With 11 out of 13 tracks being Terada's, the compilation also contains Shinikiro Yokota's ''Do it Again'' and ''Shake Yours'', two outstanding reminders of the early open air rave parties atmosphere.
